Shop policy

CUSTOMER SERVICE AGREEMENT, LIABILITY WAIVER & SHOP POLICY

  1. 1.Authorization of Work.

I authorize Slow Pokes to perform the services and install the parts listed on the attached work order. I confirm that I am the vehicle’s legal owner or am authorized by the owner to approve this work.

  2. 2.Estimates and Additional Work.

Estimates are good-faith approximations and may change after inspection or disassembly. Slow Pokes will request my approval before performing work beyond the authorized scope, and I agree to pay for all work I approve.

  3. 3.Payment Terms.

Payment is due in full when work is complete and before the vehicle is released. Slow Pokes may require a deposit for larger jobs, special-order parts, or substantial materials costs.

  4. 4.Non-Payment and Mechanic’s Lien.

To the extent permitted by Texas Property Code Chapter 70, Slow Pokes may retain possession of a vehicle for unpaid authorized charges under a possessory mechanic’s lien. After all notices, waiting periods, and other procedures required by law, the lien may be enforced, including by public sale; I am responsible for lawful collection costs and reasonable attorney’s fees to the extent permitted by law.

  5. 5.Storage and Unclaimed Vehicles.

A storage fee of $25 per day begins seven calendar days after Slow Pokes notifies me that the vehicle is ready for pickup. Unclaimed vehicles will be handled only in accordance with applicable Texas notice and disposition procedures.

  6. 6.Used and Aftermarket Parts.

Used parts are sold AS-IS, with no warranty unless a written warranty appears on the work order or invoice. Electrical parts are non-returnable once installed; aftermarket parts may affect a manufacturer’s warranty, coverage, or vehicle performance.

  7. 7.Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk.

I understand that operating a motorcycle involves inherent risks, including serious injury, death, and property damage. After service, I accept those ordinary riding and operating risks; except for gross negligence or willful misconduct, I release Slow Pokes from claims arising from my use or operation of the vehicle.

  8. 8.Personal Property.

I will remove valuables and personal items before leaving the vehicle. Slow Pokes is not responsible for loss of or damage to items left in or on the vehicle, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

  9. 9.After-Hours Drop-Off.

Slow Pokes does not accept after-hours drop-offs. Any motorcycle left on or around shop premises outside business hours is left entirely at the customer’s own risk, without our knowledge or consent. Slow Pokes assumes no duty of care, custody, or control over such vehicles, and no service authorization is created until the bike is received and checked in during business hours.

  10. 10.Disputes and Governing Law.

The parties will first try to resolve any concern through a prompt, good-faith discussion. This agreement is governed by Texas law, and any court proceeding will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Tarrant County, Texas.

Parts policy

Used Parts Purchase Policy

  1. 1.As-Is Sales.

All used parts are sold AS-IS with no warranty, express or implied, unless a written warranty is stated in the listing. Used parts show wear from prior use; this is normal and expected.

  2. 2.30-Day Limited Warranty (where offered).

Parts listed with a warranty carry a 30-day limited warranty from the date of delivery. Coverage is limited to functional failure of the part under normal use. To make a claim, the buyer must provide proof of failure — photos, video, or diagnostic evidence showing the part does not function as described. If the claim is accepted, Slow Pokes will, at its option, replace the part with an equivalent used part or refund the purchase price. The warranty does not cover improper installation, misuse, modification, or normal wear.

  3. 3.Condition Descriptions.

Each listing includes a condition note (e.g., Minor Cosmetic, Good, Fair) and photos of the actual part. Photos are part of the description — review them before buying. If anything in the photos looks unclear, ask before you pay.

  4. 4.Fitment Is the Buyer’s Responsibility.

Listings name the donor bike (year/make/model), but fitment across model years is not guaranteed. Verify the part fits your bike before ordering. A part that doesn’t fit your application is not grounds for a return unless the listing was wrong about the donor bike.

  5. 5.Pricing and Payment.

Prices are as listed. Payment is due in full at checkout. A part is not reserved until payment clears.

  6. 6.Shipping.

Parts ship within 3 business days of cleared payment. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout. Slow Pokes is not responsible for carrier delays, but will provide tracking for every shipment.

  7. 7.Returns.

You may return an unused, uninstalled part in its original condition within 14 days of delivery for a refund minus return shipping. Installed, modified, or damaged parts are not returnable. If we sent the wrong part or the listing materially misrepresented it, we cover return shipping and refund in full.

  8. 8.Local Pickup.

Local pickup is available by appointment. Inspect the part at pickup — all pickup sales are final once you leave with the part.

  9. 9.Disputes.

Texas law governs. Contact us first and we’ll make it right before anything else.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

1.Do you sell new or used parts?

Mostly used, pulled from part-outs and inspected before listing. Every listing shows the actual part with photos and a condition note.

2.How do I know a part will fit my bike?

Each listing names the donor bike (year, make, model). Fitment across model years isn’t guaranteed, so verify it fits your bike before ordering — that’s on the buyer unless the listing got the donor bike wrong.

3.Do used parts come with a warranty?

Only if the listing says so. Warrantied parts carry a 30-day limited warranty from delivery, covering functional failure under normal use. You’d need to show proof of failure (photos, video, or diagnostic evidence). Everything else is AS-IS.

4.What’s your return policy?

Unused, uninstalled parts in original condition can come back within 14 days of delivery for a refund minus return shipping. Installed, modified, or damaged parts aren’t returnable. If we sent the wrong part or misrepresented it, we cover return shipping and refund in full.

5.How fast do parts ship?

Within 3 business days of cleared payment, with tracking on every shipment.

6.Do you offer local pickup?

Yes, by appointment. Inspect the part at pickup — pickup sales are final once you leave with it.

7.What services do you offer?

General service and repair, tires (mounting, balancing, sales), and mobile service where we come to you. Reach out with your bike and what it needs for a quote.

8.Do you buy bikes?

Yes — 2006 and newer sportbikes in any condition, clean title preferred. Use the Sell Your Bike form and we’ll make a cash offer.

9.What are your hours?

Friday–Saturday 9 AM–5 PM, Sunday–Thursday 4 PM–8 PM.

10.Can I drop my bike off after hours?

No. We don’t accept after-hours drop-offs — bikes left outside business hours are left at your own risk.

11.How do I reach you?

Call or text (682) 231-0438, or use the contact form on the site.
